Process Street alternatives for small teams compared: Manifestly, SweetProcess, Tallyfy, Trainual, Pipefy, Checkify, Trello and Runbook, with verified pricing.
Last checked . Prices and features change; see the sources at the end.
When we checked on 2026-11-04, Process Street published no prices on its pricing page. All three plans (Startup, Pro, Enterprise) show "Contact sales". It describes itself as a "Compliance Operations Platform", with conditional logic, approvals, form fields, automations, SSO and SOC 2 Type 2 [1]. For small teams that want transparent, self-serve pricing, or a simpler tool, these are the main alternatives we looked at.
No single tool is best for every team. The right choice depends on whether you mainly need to document procedures, train people, automate complex workflows, or run recurring checklists. We list Runbook, our own product, alongside the others and say where it is weaker.
Prices and features were checked on 2026-11-04 on each vendor's official pricing page and may have changed since. All product names are trademarks of their respective owners. Runbook is not affiliated with Process Street or any other vendor listed here.

The alternatives
1. Manifestly
Manifestly is aimed at "teams that run recurring work" [2]. The Business plan includes unlimited workflows and runs, role-based assignments and scheduling, data collection and file uploads, Slack, Teams, Zapier, API and webhooks, and audit history with PDF/CSV export. Enterprise (from $2,000/year, annual only, includes 10 users) adds SAML SSO, custom branding and SMS notifications. Manifestly also lists conditional logic and SOC 2 Type II [2].
Choose it if you want the closest self-serve match to Process Street's checklist features, with published per-user pricing. See Runbook vs Manifestly.
2. SweetProcess
SweetProcess focuses on documenting procedures, processes and policies, with knowledge bases, quizzes, task assignment, AI drafting, Zapier/API, SSO (SAML or Active Directory) and SCIM [3]. Its price covers a team of up to 10 members, with a per-member charge above that. It also mentions unpublished "exclusive pricing" for teams with fewer than 10 employees [3].
Choose it if writing and maintaining SOPs is your main job. See Runbook vs SweetProcess.
3. Tallyfy
Tallyfy offers forms, tasks and approvals, rules that show only the steps that apply, automations and AI. SSO/SCIM is included on every paid plan, and guests are free [4][9]. It is priced per seat in USD, with cheaper Light seats for people who only complete tasks [4].
Choose it if your processes branch, collect data or involve many external participants. See Runbook vs Tallyfy.
4. Trainual
Trainual covers training, documentation and SOPs, testing and tracking, roles and org charts, plus operations and performance features. It says it "is best suited for companies with 25 - 1000 employees" [5]. Prices aren't published, and there is a $1,000 one-time implementation fee [5].
Choose it if onboarding and training employees is the priority and you're a larger small business. See Runbook vs Trainual.
5. Pipefy
Pipefy is a business process automation platform. Its free Starter plan allows up to 5 processes, up to 10 users and up to 50 cards per month, with basic automations. Business (contact sales, per-user billing) adds unlimited processes, API access, role-based access and conditional logic. Enterprise adds SSO [6]. It also offers SMB packages for companies with 11 to 200 employees [6].
Choose it if you need process automation with forms and pipelines beyond simple checklists, and want a free plan to start.
6. Checkify
Checkify is checklist software priced per member per month in GBP. The plans are Solopreneur (single member), Team (up to 10 members) and Business (unlimited members). Listed features include unlimited checklists and tasks, templates, assignments and approvals. There is a 30-day money-back guarantee [7].
Choose it if you want a simple checklist tool billed in GBP and per member pricing suits your team size.
7. Trello (or Notion) as a checklist tool
General-purpose tools can also work. Trello's free plan covers up to 10 collaborators per Workspace with assignees and due dates. Standard ($5/user/month billed annually, $6 monthly) adds "Advanced checklists" and more automation [8]. Notion's pricing page lists Plus at $10 and Business at $20 per member/month, with a monthly/yearly toggle ("Save up to 20% with yearly"). Our check did not show which billing mode the displayed figures were for [10].
Choose it if your team already lives in one of these tools and doesn't need enforced completion or a per-run audit trail.
8. Runbook
Runbook is a newer, narrower tool for recurring team checklists. You build templates with sections, required/optional items, notes and {{variables}}, or paste a Markdown checklist. Runs can be started manually, on a schedule (Team and Business), or from CI. A run can only be completed when all required items are checked. An append-only event log records who checked what and when, and can be exported as CSV, with a JSON export of all data. The REST API and a GitHub Action can start a run and wait for it to be completed, which lets you gate a deploy. Pricing is flat per organisation: Free, Team CHF 19/month for up to 10 users, Business CHF 49/month for up to 30. It is Swiss-run, hosted in the EU, uses passwordless sign-in and has no trackers.
Limitations: no conditional logic, form fields, file uploads or approvals. No Zapier or integrations marketplace, no SSO/SAML, no mobile app (responsive web only), no AI, no SOP/wiki editor and no training features. Only owner and member roles, and the UI is in English. It is new, has no customer reviews yet, and has no SOC 2 report of its own.
Choose it if your processes are plain recurring checklists, such as releases, month-end close, maintenance or opening/closing routines, and you want flat pricing, EU hosting and an audit trail.
How to choose
- Need branching, forms or approvals? Look at Tallyfy, Pipefy, Manifestly or Process Street. Runbook doesn't do this.
- Need SOP documents and training? Look at SweetProcess or Trainual.
- Need SSO or a vendor SOC 2 report? Manifestly (SSO on Enterprise), Tallyfy and SweetProcess list SSO, and Manifestly and Tallyfy state SOC 2 Type II [2][3][4]. Runbook has neither.
- Need simple recurring checklists with proof of completion, at a flat price? Runbook, Manifestly or Checkify are reasonable options to trial.
- Already using Trello or Notion? Try their checklists first before adding another tool.
