Monthly Customer Feedback Review Checklist
A monthly customer feedback checklist: collect tickets, surveys and reviews, tag themes, decide what to act on, tell product, and close the loop with customers.
- Typical schedule monthly
- The checklist 4 sections, 16 items
- Variables
{{month}}
Use this checklist once a month to turn scattered customer feedback into decisions. Feedback arrives through support tickets, survey comments, cancellation reasons, sales calls and public reviews. Without a regular review, the loudest customer wins and the most common problem goes unnoticed.
Who owns it
The support lead or a customer success manager owns the run and prepares the material. A product owner or founder joins the review meeting and makes the decisions. In a very small team, one person can do both, but write the decisions down anyway.
Common pitfalls
- Counting requests, not problems. Ten customers asking for ten different features may share one underlying problem. Tag the problem, then look at the solutions.
- Only the loudest channels. Angry tickets and large accounts dominate. Include survey comments and cancellation reasons, where quieter customers speak.
- No decision. A review that ends with "interesting" changes nothing. Each theme gets an outcome: act, investigate, or not now, with a reason.
- Never closing the loop. Customers who gave feedback rarely hear back. Telling them that something changed is cheap and builds goodwill.
- Changing the tags every month. Keep a stable set of themes so you can compare months.
Schedule the run for the first week of each month. The past runs become a simple history of what customers asked for and what you did about it.

Frequently asked questions
How do I run a monthly customer feedback review?
Collect feedback from all channels for the month, tag each item with a theme, count distinct customers per theme, and bring the top themes to a short meeting with the product owner. Give each theme an outcome and an owner. Then tell customers about the changes their feedback led to.
What is a voice of customer review?
It is a regular review of what customers say across support, surveys, sales and reviews, in their own words. The goal is to find patterns, not to answer individual requests. It feeds product, support and marketing decisions with real evidence.
How should I prioritise customer feedback?
Look at how many distinct customers raise a problem, how much it hurts them, and how it fits your product direction. Weigh the value of the affected accounts, but do not let one large customer decide alone. Record the reasoning so you can revisit the decision later.
